200 HOUR TEACHER TRAINING

“On this path, effort never goes to waste, and there is no failure. Even a little effort toward spiritual awareness will protect you from the greatest fear” - The Bhagavad Gita 2:40

When first embarking on your teaching journey, it can feel like a mammoth task discovering the right teacher training course for you.

So, how do you choose?

ASK YOURSELF

  • What does yoga mean to you?
  • What most holds meaning for you within the scope of this practice?
  • Why do you want to bring yoga to others?
  • What are your desired outcomes from an immersive training experience?

OUR ANSWERS

  • Yoga is life saving, life giving and life affirming.
  • Learning to understand that there are many things we cannot control, but one of the most important things we can control in this life is how we choose to respond to the world around us and the many challenges it holds. We see yoga as a pathway to skilful living through informed and empowered choice.
  • To facilitate a bigger revolution and evolution. If more people were exposed to and experienced the teachings of this incredible practice, there would be more people living mindful and skilful lives in harmony with one another and with the planet.
  • The exchange of knowledge, lived experience and differences in perspectives, resulting in a greater awareness of self and the world.

COURSE OUTLINE

The course will be divided into 4 'Chapters' of 5 days. Each chapter is named after an important figure from the Hindu Pantheon who embodies qualities which we believe are essential to the practice, study, teaching of yoga. During this course, we will be looking far beyond the physical dimension of yoga, inviting students to employ high levels of self-examination and critical thinking. This curriculum is designed to support and empower each student on their journey to the Self, whilst simultaneously honouring each person's lived experience.

The curriculum will be divided into the following modules: asana, pranayama, meditation and mindfulness, history and philosophy, anatomy, physiology and the subtle body, and spiritual and personal development. To find out more, please download our 200 hour TTC Prospectus.
